The Dallas Sixth Floor Museum, cuddling the long and lasting memories of President John F Kennedy is considered as one of the best museum in Dallas. President Kennedy's assassination in November 22nd, 1963 in Dallas was one shocking moment in the history of humanity and public faith, but more severe for Dallas. Hard efforts were made to preserve all the pre and post memoirs of this deadly incident.

Today Dallas Sixth Floor Museum has been the center of all attention. The museum is situated on the sixth floor of Dallas County Administration Building (former Texas School Book Depository) at Elm Street at Houston in downtown Dallas and to day caters over two million visitors every year. Life and death of the President is documented illustrated through the use of nearly 400 photographs, 45 minutes of documentary films, artifacts, graphs, charts, and other related interpretive materials. Two evidentiary areas associated with the President's alleged assassin are preserved including the alleged sniper's perch. Artifacts include the Zapruder camera, the FBI model of Dealey Plaza used by the Warren Commission and personal items from the Kennedy years. The early 1960's, the events of November 22-25, l963, the capture of a suspect, world response, major investigations, and the president's legacy are among the topics discussed.

This section outlines major social movements and political events, lifestyles and fashions of the era, and the national and international milieu.

THE TRIP TO TEXAS
This brief section examines the reasons for the President's trip to Texas.

THE CORNER WINDOW
Alongside an accurate recreation of the southeast window area as it looked on November 22, 1963, are photographic enlargements and radio teletype documentation of the first news of the assassination.

THE CRISIS HOURS
The events of the weekend, from noon Friday to midnight Monday, are outlined in this section.

THE INVESTIGATIONS
This section places the investigations into historical sequence, outlining the participants, the procedures and the major findings.

WHO DID IT?
Alleged conspirators and their motives are discussed in this section as well as criticisms of the various investigations.

THE LEGACY
A 10-minute film hosted by Walter Cronkite deals with the long-term consequences of the assassination.

THE CORNER STAIRCASE
The second evidential area, where the sniper allegedly exited and where the rifle was found, is reconstructed as it appeared from police department photographs on November 22, 1963.

AUDIO CASSETTE TOUR
A dramatic audio tour of The Sixth Floor as told by the people who were there is available to guide visitors through the exhibition.

MEMORY BOOKS
The exhibition offers an opportunity for visitors to record their personal recollections and messages in memory books. As these books are filled, they become a part of the Foundation's archives for others to study.

The Dallas County Historical Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1983, manages the Sixth Floor Museum. The Sixth Floor Museum was inaugurated on February 20, 1989 on the occasion of President's Day,

From 35 North of TOWN:
Take 35 south. Get off at the Continental exit. Take Continental east, To Houston Street turn Right onto Houston To Elm Street turn Right onto the Elm St extension, the exhibit entrance is on the west side of the building on the northwest corner of Houston and Elm.

From 35 South of TOWN:
